We are now accepting PLATS to be recorded electronically.

All documents pertaining to land transactions are recorded and maintained in this office. We also keep and maintain vital records, including births, deaths, and marriages. This office also issues marriage licenses, administers Notary oaths, retains military discharges, cemetery records, grave removals, plats, genealogy information, as well as other useful information.
Richmond county was formed November 10, 1779. The county was formed from Anson county. Land Records and marriage records prior to this date can be found in the Anson county register of deeds office.
